Automotive Center Manager
Job Description
Busy Automotive Repair Center in Austin, TX needs a Sales/center manager. Duties include but are not limited to sales and directing shop employees of an auto repair center. Candidates must have sales, telephone, organization and communication skills. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, lead, train, and coach employees in procedures as well as time management and organizational skills. We offer top pay and more.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Greeting customers in a pleasant and professional manner, determine maintenance service & repairs needed in a timely & efficient manner, with exemplary quality control.
- Perform complete vehicle maintenance inspections and use features and benefits to convince customers of the need for the services suggested & required.
- Maintain a clean, organized and efficient work area.
- Work with technicians on proper completion of duties, following company policies & procedures.
- Inventory control, ordering parts and keeping profit margins in range.
- Achieve all other goals for production and growth of the business.
- Make cold calls to acquire local commercial accounts.
- Complete and submit all daily & weekly reports as required.
- Willingness to mentor other team members with less experience.
- Perform customer callbacks to monitor customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work during hours of operation, 5 days per week. Saturdays are required on a rotational basis.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 5 years’ sales & customer service experience in a recognized automotive shop environment.
- Familiarity with National Fleet Accounts and Aftermarket Warranty Companies.
- Section 609 Certification is a plus. (HFC134A & HFO1234YF)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a valid Texas driver’s license & clean driving record
- Possess the Willingness to be a team player and follow directions.
- Possess a desire to continue further education in the automotive repair & service industry and achieve available certifications for your roll and responsibilities.
