Human Resources Business Partner

What the Human Resources Business Partner will do :
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for PEO clients
- Act as a resource and advisor to clients in all areas of human resources maters including but not limited to performance management, coaching, terminations, employee handbook creating, training, investigations, complaints, leave of absence, and company policies and procedures.
- Foster teamwork and a positive work environment through frequent collaboration with other HR Business Partners and Payroll Specialist in promoting best practices
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
- Proactively maintains relationship with clients through on-site visits, correspondence and overall accessibility
- Provide consistent, accurate advice to clients on employee relations issues and disciplinary actions
- Support administration, coordination, and application of client company human resources / benefit policies, procedures, and practices
- Complete new client / new employee onboarding and guide new clients through the process of benefit enrollment and handbook implementation
- Maintain employee files & HR policies / procedures for each client
- Compile information for creating job descriptions and wage surveys
- Assist in responding to unemployment claims and participates in unemployment hearings on clients' behalf
- Keep up to date on overall human resource issues and laws through continuing education and human resource community involvement
- Conduct annual open enrollment for all clients
What the Human Resources Business Partner needs to have :
- Multistate experience is required; California preferred
- College degree preferred; and a minimum of 5 years' experience in Human Resources
- Excellent customer service and written and verbal communication skills
- Understand and respond to a diverse population, of both business owners and employees, with the highest level of customer service
- Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
- Ability to collect complex information and company / client data and assist with interpretation and decision making
- Excellent knowledge of federal, state, local laws and statutes for employment
- Perform simple and complex tasks; analyze data and accurately complete forms and records
- Problem solving skills and creativity
- Ability to handle multiple clients and projects and adapt to each one's needs
- Microsoft Office Suite experience required
- SHRM-CP / PHR preferred
