Automotive Service Director

As our Service Director , you will oversee all aspects of our service department, ensuring operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
You will set high standards for your team while aligning department goals with the overall business objectives.
Pay :
$100,000 - $150,000, depending on experience
Responsibilities :
- Lead, train, and mentor the service team to achieve departmental goals and individual growth.
- Implement and monitor processes to ensure operational excellence and efficiency.
- Oversee financial performance, including profit margins and productivity metrics.
- Recruit, hire, and develop talent to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Collaborate with the Parts Department to optimize workflows and ensure smooth operations.
- Drive customer retention and satisfaction by implementing innovative service strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations affecting the service department, including OSHA and hazardous waste disposal.
- Develop and monitor budgets while keeping the Fixed Operations Director informed of key variances.
- Adapt to changes in the automotive industry, leveraging new technologies and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications :
- Proven success in a leadership role within a large service department, ideally in a multi-line dealership.
- Strong background in automotive retail services, including P&L management, CSI improvement, and process optimization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead by example and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to implement innovative solutions to enhance customer and employee satisfaction.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience developing and achieving targeted goals, with a focus on exceeding OEM standards.
- Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check.
