The Position
2024 Summer Intern - Genomic Technology
Department Summary
The Enzyme and Protein Engineering Department (EPE) is a dynamic hub of scientific innovation, divided into four distinct teams.
The Application and Sample Prep team, in which you will be positioned, specializes in developing workflows for sample preparation reagents prior to sequencing.
We also engage in early R&D for projects related to DNA methylation-specific workflows. The Polymerase Engineering team and the Pore Engineering Team focuses on the discovery, development, and characterization of novel polymerases, nano pores and associated proteins enabling the detection of single DNA molecules with unprecedented accuracy on our current system under development.
Finally, the Sequencing Analysis team with their expertise in data processing, analysis, and interpretation develops analytical tools to extract meaningful insights from sequencing data.
The EPE's teams work collaboratively to advance the development of our innovative sequencing technology.
