This role is a full-time permanent position working Monday-Friday.
What you will do as a Lube Technician:
- Regularly lubricate all machinery and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and checking fluid levels.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Maintain accurate records of all lubrication and maintenance activities.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Assist with diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues as they arise.
- Keep track of lubrication supplies and ensure timely reordering to prevent shortages.
- Work closely with mechanics, operators, and other team members to support overall maintenance efforts.
Experience and skills that will help you stand out:
- Previous experience as a lube technician or in a similar maintenance role, preferably in a sawmill or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with various types of machinery and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure thorough lubrication and maintenance.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Good troubleshooting skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training in mechanics or a related field is a plus.
