JOB DESCRIPTION: Auto Body Repair Technician
Location: Atlanta, GA
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Repair Technician. to join our team. In this role, you will perform repairs on a variety of vehicles, ensuring all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and industry safety standards. You will work with advanced tools and collaborate closely with estimators and parts departments to ensure timely, high-quality repairs for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair damage to vehicle bodies, ensuring alignment, structural integrity, and manufacturer specifications are met.
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicles for collision repair, ensuring all components are properly installed and functioning.
- Operate specialized equipment such as hydraulic presses, frame machines, and welding tools to complete repairs.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure all repairs meet safety and industry standards.
- Collaborate with estimators and parts departments to ensure accurate assessments and timely completion of repairs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
- Continuously update technical knowledge and skills through training and certifications in industry advancements and vehicle technology.
What You Need to Succeed:
- 1-2 years of experience in automotive painting and collision repair.
- Strong vision, including close, distance, color, and depth perception.
- Proficiency with tools such as hydraulic presses, frame machines, and welding equipment.
- Attention to detail and a solid understanding of vehicle alignment, structural integrity, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Ability to read and interpret repair estimates and technical diagrams.
- Manual dexterity for repetitive tasks and physical stamina for lifting up to 45 pounds, kneeling, bending, and squatting.
- Valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
The starting compensation is expected to be:
$75,000.00 - $90,000.00
