General Shop Mechanic

We are currently seeking a General Shop Mechanic, welding experiance a plus, that maintains all of the shop equipment and tools. Equipment maintenance might involve equipment inspection for damage or wear and cleaning and repair, as needed. The Shop Mechanic might contact an outside repair service if the maintenance can't be completed by staff and negotiate services and arrange a date and time for completion of the work. If the Shop Mechanic needs new parts for repairs or new equipment, an order is placed or request is submitted to the General Manager, if applicable.
Qualifications/Skills:
· Possess detailed knowledge of shop/construction industry
· Work well with a team
· Possess solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
· Demonstrate awareness of all health and safety protocols
· Able to remain calm and clear-headed in an emergency
· Manage time efficiently
· Pay attention to detail
· Demonstrate strong organizational skills
· Possess basic computer skills
· Communicate clearly and effectively
· Qualified to operate heavy machinery
