Our client a leader in providing innovativelighting fixtures and controls is currently seeking a dedicatedQuoter / Estimator to join their inside sales team.
This role iscrucial for negotiating and securing projects by reviewing plansspecifications and customer requests to generate a detailedlighting bill of materials.
Working in closecollaboration with the outside sales team the successful candidatewill provide accurate budget pricing for projects and engage withmanufacturers to obtain precise product pricing.
Commercial Lighting Estimator JobResponsibilities
- Collaborate withthe inside and outside sales teams to negotiate and winprojects.
- Generate detailed lighting bills ofmaterials based on plans specifications and customerrequests.
- Provide accurate budget pricing forprojects and engage with manufacturers for precise productpricing.
- Cultivate and sustain relationshipswith manufacturer partners.
- Ensure timelycompletion of bids and a clean project handoff to projectmanagers.
- Assist in managing project financesto optimize profitability.
- Support technicalsupport and project management teams with priors andsubmittals.
- Adapt to various tasks as requiredby the dynamic nature of the sales and project negotiationprocess.
Qualifications
- Background in the construction industry withthe ability to read plans andspecifications.
- Solid understanding of lightingand lighting controls.
- Proficiency in MS Officeand Adobe Acrobat is essential.
- Familiaritywith Oasis Cahill Excel Smartsheet and Bluebeam isadvantageous.
- Strong eagerness to learn andunderstand technical aspects of lightingproducts.
- Excellent communication skills toeffectively interact with colleagues andclients.
- Highly organized with the ability tomanage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks tomeet deadlines.
- Punctuality and a keenattention to detail.
