Iron Horse Garage LLC is seeking a skilled Automotive Electrical Technician to join our growing team. We specialize in breathing new life into classic and antique cars, and you'll play a key role in their electrical rejuvenation.
About the Role:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in classic and antique vehicles.
- Perform complete electrical system upgrades, including rewiring projects.
- Handle engine swap wiring projects.
- Conduct 6 volt to 12 volt conversions.
- Perform basic mechanical tasks associated with wiring installations and troubleshooting (e.g., removing/replacing electrical components, accessing wiring harnesses).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Document all work performed for customer reference and future service.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and recommendations clearly.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Automotive Electrical Technician, preferably with a focus on classic and antique cars.
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, including knowledge of 6v to 12v conversion.
- Experience with engine swap wiring.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must provide own basic automotive electrical tools (multimeter, voltmeter, etc.).
