Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in repairing and maintaining vehicles, with a focus on diesel engine repair. This role requires a high level of mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including trucks and SUVs.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair issues with vehicles' powertrains, including engines, transmissions, and drivetrains
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
- Utilize power tools and equipment to complete tasks efficiently
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional manner
- Utilize automotive diagnostics software to identify and diagnose problems with vehicles' electrical systems
- Estimate the cost of repairs and provide quotes to customers
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in automotive technology and best practices
- Collaborate with other technicians and support staff to ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license
- ASE certification in the areas of brakes, electrical systems, and suspension and steering
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience with welding
- Familiarity with powertrain systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Commitment to staying current with industry developments and best practices

Pay: $29.00 - $48.00 per hour
