Express Tech Qualifications
- Automotive certifications are ideal
- Strong automotive background
- CDJR experience very helpful
- Strong teamwork skills

The Hourly Lube Technician is mainly responsible for the lube, oil, and filter duties of vehicles assigned to them by service management or their designated representatives. Repairs must be done in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards. Ensures that repairs are performed correctly and efficiently, and that the dealership’s service department maintains a consistently high level of safety and customer satisfaction that is consistent with Route 24 Auto Group’s core philosophies, principles, and values.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities:
- Adheres to express lube guidelines.
- Performs safety inspections, oil changes, lubrication work, and basic maintenance as directed.
- Replenishes supplies as requested by technicians or service manager.
- Installs completed oil change reminder sticker in vehicle.
- Check battery, tire air pressure, windshield fluid, transmission fluid and power steering fluid levels and refills as needed.
- Check coolant level and refill as necessary.
- Ensure vehicle is clean and free of fluid residue or fingerprints.
- Checks fluid level prior to release of vehicle to ensure proper levels.
- Maintains Customer Satisfaction scores at or above Company standards.
- complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures by manufacturer and dealership.
- Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
- Properly use the special tools and equipment provided by the service department.
- Produce quality work that evidence excellence resulting in scores at or above the district average as measured by monthly manufacturer customer satisfaction reporting.
- Ensure that customer vehicles you work on are returned to consumer cleaner than they were prior to being serviced.
- Picks up parts from the parts department as directed by technicians.
- Responsible for sweeping the shop and emptying trash daily.
- Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
- Achieve or exceed production schedules and individual efficiency benchmark set by management.
- Report to management any situation or condition that would jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its customers or employees.
- Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
- Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
- Other tasks as assigned.
