Indian Motorcycle of Lafayette, IN, a Tom Wood company, is looking to add to our team of Service Technicians. The ideal candidate is someone who possesses a strong passion for both mechanics and outdoor recreation, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose complex problems on multiple manufacturer’s products by using latest diagnostic equipment
- Complete complex repairs within timelines specified by the manufacturer and dealership -use and operate Dynamometer
- Perform routine maintenance and assembly of new units
- Perform additional functions in the dealership as needed, including but not limited to service writing, parts counter assistance, unit pickup and delivery, and assisting apprentice techs as needed
- Attend periodic training in remote locations as well as on-site
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver’s license with a CLEAN driving record
- Formal training, preferably with one of the major metric motorcycle manufacturers and or MMI.
- You should have your own tools and a minimum of three years of experience working in a franchised dealership setting.
- Must have a “sales and customer service” attitude and aptitude and be able to communicate professionally with customers
- Capable of performing well under a salary plus commission pay plan
