Ray Gordon Brake Service is looking for an Experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. We are looking for a detail-oriented technician who is able to properly diagnose automotive issues, machine drums and rotors as needed, along with other duties, and is a quick learner and problem solver.
Responsibilities
- Set racks properly.
- Test drive, inspect, and properly diagnose vehicles.
- Perform proper repairs.
- Mount Wheels properly.
- Torque Wheels to correct vehicle specification.
- Machine drums and rotors.
- Maintain shop equipment.
- Communicate clearly with the service writer, manager, and assistant tech.
- Help other technicians with additional tasks as needed.
- Maintain clean and organized repair areas.
- Help as requested.
Experience and Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds unassisted.
- Computer knowledge and automotive diagnostic skills required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a professional shop.
- Must have hand and power tools, and toolbox.
- ASE certifcation preferred, but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
