Job Summary:
Lundgren Cars is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team at our dealership in Rutland, Vermont. This is a full-time, hourly position with an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards. This individual contributor role requires a high level of technical expertise and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Compensation & Benefits:
The Automotive Technician position at Lundgren offers a competitive hourly wage of $20 to $40, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is a full-time role, with biweekly pay and additional benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and employee discounts on vehicles and services.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues on various makes and models of vehicles.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems accurately.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors to explain repairs needed.
- Follow dealership and manufacturer guidelines for repairs and document all work performed.
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements, tools, and techniques through training and continuous learning.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Automotive Technician.
- ASE certification is preferred but not required.
- Strong technical and mechanical skills with expertise in a wide range of automotive systems.
- In-depth knowledge of electronic and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Must have own tools.
