Alternate Transportation Advisor - BMW of El Cajon

Job Summary: The Alternate Transportation Advisor assists guests with their transportation needs and manages our loaner fleet of 100+ vehicles. As with all positions within dealerships, service advisors are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards.
Essential Functions:
- Assisting customers promptly and in a friendly and professional manner to coordinate shuttles and loaner agreements
- Adhering to strict guidelines for courtesy rental agreements and ensuring that all customers have proper documentation
- Checking in loaner vehicles after customer use and making sure the vehicle is returned in the same condition as it was loaned
- Manages loaner fleet which includes maintaining cleanliness, monitoring mileage, working with insurance claims, keeping track of registrations, license plates, and damages
- Working with insurance companies regarding claims
- Utilizes iPads for loaner contracts
- Must be organized to keep track of all courtesy vehicles, documents, and shuttle customers
- Coordinating and working closely with both service and sales
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s license and safe driving record; required to have California within 30 days
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous rental car experience
- Familiar with vehicle models and personnel with the dealership
- Be self-motivated and able to successfully work as a team with both service and sales
- Excellent driving skills
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Thorough understanding of traffic regulations, road signs, and routes
- Ability to successfully maintain logs and records
- Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision
- Ability to always remain professional and courteous
- Ability to be a team player and work in a team environment
- Ability to be dependable with a high stress tolerance
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to foster good customer and work relationships
- Proficient computer skills and ability to learn database and ordering systems.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly stands, walks, sits; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks and hears. Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls; lifts up to 30 pounds

- Base pay plus bonus
