PARTS DEPARTMENT MANAGER (POWERSPORTS DEALERSHIP)

The Parts Manager is responsible for running a profitable and efficient parts department. They will accomplish objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, pricing, and merchandising.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Forecast goals and objectives and strive to meet them
- Enable effective teamwork with all other departments
- Understand and track market trends
- Train, motivate, and monitor performance of parts department staff
- Work with the Service Manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs
- Discuss current activities and problems, and develop strategies for more efficient operation
- Maintain and ensure maximum customer satisfaction
- Handle customer complaints immediately
- Establish and enforce a pricing policy that balances volume, customer loyalty, and the cost of doing business
- Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence
- Place orders and receive inventory
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of supervisory/management experience
- 2-5 years of experience in an automotive/powersports industry
- Excellent communication and managerial skills
- Sales/Retail experience
- Ability to operate the department profitably

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
