Job Summary
As an Auto Body Helper, you will assist experienced Auto Body Technicians in repairing vehicles to manufacturer standards. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to develop hands-on experience in the auto body repair industry. You will work in a fast-paced environment, learning various aspects of collision repair while contributing to the efficiency of the shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with disassembly and reassembly of vehicles.
- Prepare vehicles for repair by masking, sanding, and priming as needed.
- Transport and organize parts, tools, and materials to keep the workspace clean and efficient.
- Help maintain shop cleanliness, including sweeping, taking out the trash, and organizing tools.
- Assist in minor dent removal, panel alignment, and other basic repair tasks under supervision.
- Support in applying primers, sealers, and corrosion protection.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with company policies.
- Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet Kniesels Collision standards.
- Assist in moving vehicles within the facility as needed.
Qualifications & Skills

- Fluent in reading and understanding English.
- Capable of comprehending written instructions on estimates, work orders, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Previous experience in automotive repair or a related field is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing shop needs.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper handling of tools/equipment.
