Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mid-to-Senior Level Automotive Technician with experience in diesel engines to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of light- to medium-duty fleet vehicles, including gas and diesel engines. This role is perfect for a skilled, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex mechanical challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of fleet vehicles, including diesel and gasoline engines.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex systems such as engine performance, electrical, transmission, brakes, HVAC, and hydraulics.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and address potential issues to minimize downtime for fleet vehicles.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure repairs meet the shop's high standards for quality and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental policies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years as an automotive technician, with at least 1 years of experience working on diesel vehicles.
- Certifications: ASE certifications preferred, (A4, A5, A6) or willingness to obtain.
- Skills:
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Proficiency with modern diagnostic equipment and software.
- Knowledge of fleet maintenance schedules and best practices.
- Other:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
