Position Overview: We are seeking an Automotive Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the quality and performance of vehicles, performing diagnostics, and executing repairs according to the highest standards. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team to provide exceptional service, all while adhering to strict safety and industry regulations. You must be able to follow instructions, take direction effectively, and be equipped with your own tools to complete repairs efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Diagnostics and Repairs:
- Use diagnostic tools and special service equipment to troubleshoot and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning.
- Test-drive vehicles to verify repair work and ensure vehicle safety and performance standards.
- Execute repairs efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Follow detailed instructions from service managers to ensure repairs are completed correctly and efficiently.
- Communicate the status of repairs and provide updates regarding additional work, timelines, and customer requests.
- Foster a team-oriented environment by sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA and hazardous waste management.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment and adhere to shop safety standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience as an automotive technician, with a preference for experience working on Europeans car brands
- Tools:
- Must have own tools required for the role.
- Certifications (not required, but a plus)
- Experience with automotive diagnostic software and electrical/mechanical troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to varying job assignments and schedules.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
