Full job description
Do you have Diesel or Auto Technician experience and looking for a great new opportunity? EVOLUTION AUTO BODY would like to talk with YOU!
What are the duties?
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify and resolve mechanical issues
- Repair and replace worn or damaged parts, such as brakes, belts, and hoses
- Perform vehicle inspections and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs
- Keep accurate records of all work performed on vehicles
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Use of smartphone, computer and tablet technology to record all repairs
- Standard tech owned tools required
- Major shop tools and diagnostic equipment is provided
- Other duties may be assigned
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive mechanic. Having worked on different kinds of vehicles
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems
- Proficiency in auto estimating and diagnosing mechanical issues
- Experience with diesel engine repair is a plus
- Knowledge of tire service, including mounting, balancing, and rotation
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and software
- Ability to perform auto body repairs is a bonus
- One year certificate from college or technical school preferred
Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs.
- Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
CERTIFICATES and LICENSES
- Valid Driver's License
- Preferred - CDL or ability to acquire CDL
- ASE certifications is a must
Hourly pay rate - $30-$60 depending on experience
