Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a at least 5 years of experience and a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional customer service while ensuring vehicles are serviced to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles, including cars and trucks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot automotive electrical systems and mechanical issues.
- Conduct inspections and tests on vehicles to identify problems and ensure safety compliance.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems as needed, including diesel engine repair.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues, repairs needed, and service recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop environment.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through continuous education and training.
Skills
- Proficient in automotive repair techniques with hands-on experience as a service technician or mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems and diagnostics.
- Experience in vehicle maintenance practices, including oil changes, brake services, and tire rotations.
- Ability to weld and perform minor bodywork as necessary.
- Familiarity with dealership standards for repair quality and customer service excellence.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and explain technical information clearly.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
