Position Overview: We are in search of a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Automotive Diesel Pickup Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. As a key liaison between customers and our technical team, the Automotive Diesel Pickup Service Advisor plays a pivotal role in delivering a seamless service experience.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers, attentively listen to their diesel truck concerns, and gather comprehensive information about the vehicle's history and issues.
- Communicate effectively with customers to present recommended services, repair options, and associated costs, particularly pertaining to diesel engines and components.
- Provide accurate and detailed estimates for labor, parts, and service timelines, taking into consideration the unique needs of diesel pickups.
- Collaborate closely with the technician team to ensure a clear understanding of work orders, required repairs, and service priorities specific to diesel engines.
- Schedule and coordinate service appointments efficiently to optimize workshop productivity and accommodate the specialized requirements of diesel trucks.
- Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding their vehicle's status, repair updates, and any additional service recommendations.
- Offer expertise in additional services, maintenance packages, and enhancements relevant to diesel pickup trucks.
- Maintain meticulous records of customer information, service histories, and invoices, ensuring accuracy and organization.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and expedient resolution.
- Stay current with industry trends, advancements in diesel technology, and specialized service procedures to provide informed guidance to customers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant post-secondary education or certification in diesel mechanics is advantageous.
- Prior experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a customer-facing role within the automotive repair sector.
- Profound knowledge of diesel engine principles, truck systems, and repair/maintenance protocols.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional commitment to customer service excellence, fostering positive and lasting customer relationships.
- Proficiency in utilizing computerized systems and software for scheduling, estimates, and record-keeping.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
