Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, with a focus on diesel engines. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely. The Mechanic will work on various types of Box Trucks and will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Having your own tools is suggested.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Perform electrical repairs and troubleshooting as needed.
Work on hydraulics systems to ensure proper functionality.
Assemble and disassemble components for repair or replacement.
Weld parts as necessary to maintain structural integrity.
Conduct inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
Perform heavy lifting as required during repairs and maintenance tasks.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working in the shop or field.

Experience

Proven experience in vehicle maintenance, specifically with diesel engines.
Familiarity with Box Truck is a plus.
Strong knowledge of air brake systems and their maintenance.
Experience working with hydraulic systems is preferred.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions.
Previous experience in welding or fabrication is advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
