SUMMARY OF POSITION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for assisting the Automotive Technology Support Specialist with afternoon operations of the Automotive Technology Program for both Bismarck State College and Bismarck Public Schools. Monday – Thursday, part-time temporary, approximately 16 hours/week. Hours 2:30pm-6pm.

Position Description & Details

Provide lab support for Bismarck State College and Bismarck Public Schools automotive technology faculty.
Maintain the tool room parts and supplies inventory, check-in/out tools, paint, and manuals.
Ensure the tool area is clean and organized.
Control student's access to the tool area.
Maintain good public relations while working with faculty, staff, and customers.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Experience with auto mechanical parts and/or services
Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated positive customer service, and the ability to relate to people of varying ages and backgrounds
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects
Ability to work independently and handle interruptions.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (essential function).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a comparable position.
Good computer skills and knowledge of record keeping.
Experience in a college environment.
