About the Job
We’re true vehicle enthusiasts looking for another enthusiast to join the Response Motors team. As the lead technician part of the job includes interacting with other enthusiasts, advising on setting up performance cars for track driving, advising on power and performance upgrades, as well as general performance car knowledge. In addition the lead technician is responsible for swiftly and accurately performing automotive repairs including engine management systems, fuel management systems, transmission, electrical alignment, steering, suspension, brakes, etc.
Automotive Technician Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the service advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
Automotive Technician Qualifications
- Performance car setup experience preferred
- Track or Performance Driving Experience Preferred
- ASE certifications are ideal
- Strong automotive repair background
- Strong teamwork skills
- Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check
- Must have clean & valid driver's license
