Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lube Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform preventive maintenance and service repairs on John Deere Ag and construction equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. As a Lube Technician, you will play a vital role in providing excellent service to our customers while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Notify the supervisor of any necessary maintenance and service to the assigned service vehicle, including all onboard equipment.
- Perform oil changes and fluid replacements on various types of vehicles.
- Complete service orders in a timely fashion to meet efficiency standards.
- Discard residual or hazardous waste, using proper disposal methods.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, including filter replacements and tire rotations.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete assigned tasks.
- Assist in automotive diagnostics to identify issues and recommend repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring all tools are properly stored.
- Collaborate with team members to align on service goals and customer satisfaction.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns regarding vehicle maintenance.
- Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and operating machinery.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to servicing.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with diagnostics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Experience in a dealership environment is a plus but not required.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
