The All-New Fullerton Ford OC is now looking for an highly qualified and experienced Heavy Line Automotive Technicians to add to our service team. A Heavy Line Tech is expected to be able to diagnose serious engine problems in both gas and diesel vehicles and make the appropriate repairs. We offer paid training for our employees.
Pay: $35-$45 flat rate per hr DOE
Responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Effectively and accurately perform quality repair work in accordance with our dealership's and factory standards.
- Technicians should have the ability to explain technical repairs on work orders for service advisors as well as the estimated time for completion so that customers can be informed.
- Technicians will use approved service techniques, materials and parts to properly service each vehicle.
- Technician will be familiar with major vehicle systems, like: Engine water pumps, Oil Leaks, Brake Systems, Heating and Cooling Systems, A/C Systems, Starting Systems and Engine Overhauls, Computer Diagnostics, Transmission Repair and Overhaul, Clutch Repairs and Replacements, Hydraulic Pump Service, Drive Line Repair and Overhaul, Axle, Hub and Bearing Service, Air Suspension Repairs.
- Performs other duties as assigned as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Prior heavy line experience including: gas engine repairs, oil leak repairs and coolant repairs.
- Able to work a flexible 40-hour work week.
- Prior Mechanic / Technician / Dealership experience required.
- Be able to lift up to 60 lbs. without assistance, stand, sit, bend and twist for extended periods of time on concrete.
- Maintain the work area in a safe, clean, and organized manner.
- Ability to effectively communicate in person, by email and phone.
- Have the ability to work independently while being open to accept training and feedback from management.
- Have a clean driving record and valid Driver’s License.
