Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive service and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and repair various vehicle issues. This role requires proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools, as well as a solid understanding of automotive diagnostics and powertrain systems. As an Automotive Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers' vehicles are safe, reliable, and performing at their best.
Duties
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems, including powertrain, brakes, suspension, and electrical components.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Collaborate with team members to estimate repair costs and communicate findings to customers.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through continuous learning.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working in the shop environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic in a dealership or service center setting.
- Strong knowledge of automotive service procedures and vehicle maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools for troubleshooting vehicle issues.
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Certification from an accredited automotive program is preferred but not required.
