OVERVIEW:
This individual is responsible for the effective repair of machinery and components in the field, at high levels of quality. This individual must work independent of direct supervision in a field environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform field repairs and maintenance jobs with little or no direct supervision
- Knowledge of a variety of different types of LMI systems and able to read and understand load charts
- Knowledge of a variety types of cranes such as lattice crawler, lattice truck, hydraulic truck, and rough terrain
- Ability to set up cranes and operate safely
- Responsible for servicing units to fulfill OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications
- Basic testing knowledge of all machine systems
- Recondition and repair equipment and components in a complete, safe, and effective manner by planning methods and sequence of performing repairs assigned
- Perform diagnostic inspections as directed, including repair determination inspections following established guidelines, identify the cause of failure, and identify solutions necessary to affect a repair
- Responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe manner
- Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases in repairs
- Assists in the collection of data necessary for efficient inventory control
- Attends training at local, regional, national service schools as requested
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment
- Maintains and cares for shop tools, equipment, and vehicles
- Completes all paperwork required for jobs
- Performs tasks as directed by the Service Management
- Background in electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Crane Inspector Certification recommended but not required
- Obtains or is willing to obtain a Class A CDL License
- Minimum 2 year Diesel Technology or Automotive Technology degree or equivalent experience
- Possesses required tools

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
- Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 100+ pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50+ pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 20+ pounds.
- Occasional to frequent walking or standing.

- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate equipment.
- Consistently exposed to weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
