Description:
The Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Technician is responsible for inspecting and repairing minor dents and dings on the exterior surfaces for various types of vehicles without the use of traditional body shop methods. The technician will provide excellent customer service and support in a fast-paced environment. This role requires attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.

Duties and responsibilities
Inspect and Diagnose: Inspect vehicles for dents, dings, and other imperfections.
Repairs: Perform paintless dent repair using specialized tools and techniques
Finishing: Conduct quality checks to ensure repairs and installations meet safety and quality standards. Ensure the exterior has a flawless finish.
Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair processes and costs.
Teamwork: Collaborate with service advisors and other technicians to ensure timely repairs.
Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and dealership policies as well as maintain a clean and organized work area.
Documentation: Keep accurate records of repairs and inventory of tools and materials.
Qualifications
Education/Other:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Experience:
- One year of previous experience as PDR technician or related field is required.
Skills:
- Ability to work in a high-volume environment.
- Proven experience in paintless dent repair, preferably in a dealership setting.
- Proficiency with PDR tools and techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working conditions
- Work is typically performed in a shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and automotive chemicals.
- Exposure to adhesives, solvents and other chemicals.
- May require standing, walking, and lifting heavy objects.
