Hyland Filter is hiring a Service Technician for a full-time role. This position requires regular out-of-state and overnight travel. Being on the road requires discipline and self-motivation to get through the route and to complete the work at a high level. Most of the job sites will require roof-top work so you must be comfortable with heights and extension ladders. The use of a scissor lift may also be needed in some cases.
This is a fast paced job that requires a high level of efficiency and time management. A Hyland Filter Technician replaces air filters at commercial sites each and every day. Some jobs will also require coil cleanings. Each job will require customer service, thoroughly servicing each HVAC unit, proper clean up, and other requirements that might vary per job.
Safety and quality service are top priorities at Hyland. We ensure that our new Technicians receive adequate training before going out on their own route. A week of paid training is provided prior to starting. After training in the field, you will need to meet with a supervisor to show you exhibit the knowledge needed to perform each job and have a strong understanding of how to handle a route.
You must be able to pass a DOT physical and a drug screening prior to training. You must be in good enough shape to move up and down ladders, be on your feet all day, lift and carry heavy equipment, and complete a full work day every day. Background checks are performed and driving history is also checked.
Travel expenses are covered, a company vehicle is provided and company apparel provided after training has concluded. Benefits include a retirement plan, PTO, medical and dental insurance.
Regardless of experience, we are looking for someone who is willing to learn, take on new challenges, bring in a strong positive attitude, and have a willingness to do what is needed to help the company grow and thrive.
Our technicians work in various weather conditions and must complete all assigned jobs by due date. We offer a support team that is there for technician’s assistance. Communication is key for this role. Clearly communicating with the customer and the operations team ensures that the job gets done correctly.
