Position Title: Motor Carrier Services Division Administrator
The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is recruiting for a Motor Carrier Services Division Administrator. This position is responsible for managing division planning programs and functions through subordinate Bureau Chiefs and staff. Responsible for managing the programs and budgets of the division. This position is a member of the agency’s Senior Leadership Team, and gives input to setting overall goals, priorities and operating plans for and within MDT. Reports directly to the Deputy Director. Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Political Science, Public Administration, Psychology, Communications, Civil Engineering, or other related fields.
- 6 years of related experience and 4 years of progressively responsible management experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of motor vehicle licensing laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of federal and state statutes and rules regarding the operation of commercial and agricultural vehicle and driver laws, rules, and regulations. Including hazardous materials, vehicle equipment, driver qualification and regulations, and carrier regulations.
