- Recruit, hire, and motivate qualified body and paint technicians.
- Assist in logging an preparing payroll for paint and body techs and detailers.
- Close and invoice all final invoices before vehicle leaves; final bill / final supplement to insurance company.
- Maintain and foster vendor relationships.
- Maintain and monitor gross profit opportunities from vendors.
- Approve all sublet / outside vendor invoices.
- Mentor and grow body shop technicians.
- Diagnose and determine appropriate process / procedures for repair.
- Prepare estimates on costs and time required for bodywork.
- Complete proper documentation and record keeping on repair orders.
- Perform quality checks on completed jobs.
- Represent the McCloskey brand by maintaining a professional demeanor and strong relationship skills.
- Perform work as outlined in repair orders.
- Complete job in accordance with applicable safety requirements.
- Conduct parts inventory for repairs to ensure accuracy.Requirements :
- 2 years of Body Shop or Automotive Dealership Management Experience.
- Knowledge of the processes, techniques and materials used in painting automotive equipment.
- Knowledge of the proper methods of preparing equipment for painting and automotive detailing
- Knowledge of the proper methods of caring for spray guns and other auto painting equipment and materials.
- A detailed understanding of safety precautions required in performing the work of the trade.
- The ability to mix and match paints; the ability to prepare auto body surfaces for painting.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, kneel, bend, and / or reach above the shoulders.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work independently and excel in a fast paced environment.Basic Qualifications
- Two years' experience in dealership body shop and body shop technician supervision.
- Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company's insurance carrier.
