The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Vehicle Branding Work Center is seeking to hire two Program Support Technicians to work in a technical position in a high volume DMV regulatory unit responding to mail-in request for service as well as providing help to Customer Service Centers, DMV Direct, DMV Select, DMV Law Enforcement Service, Dealers, Insurance Companies and DMV private and public sector business partners.
The incumbent rotates to perform all services provided in the work unit in addition to performing any task outside the work area as directed by the Office Manager or Vehicle Services Administration Management.
The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, serves approximately 6.2 million licensed drivers and ID card holders with over 8.4 million registered vehicles. Minimum Qualifications
- Working knowledge of business English, Grammar and Mathematics
- Working knowledge of DMV's vehicle processes
- Working skill using keyboard, personal computer and Microsoft Word
- Working skill with office operational principles, office equipment and use of standard business forms and filing system
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret, explain and apply policies, procedures, and state and federal laws and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed work using prescribed procedures
- Demonstrated ability to communicate courteously and effectively with others orally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to conduct extensive research using provided materials and equipment
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
