Job Title: Porter/Driver
Location: A&B Import Auto
Reports to: Service Manager/Advisors

Job Summary:
A&B Import Auto is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Porter/Driver to support our automotive repair shop. Primary responsibilities include ensuring smooth vehicle flow within the service area, including moving cars for service, shuttling customers, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role is critical in maintaining high customer satisfaction by providing efficient and professional service.

A&B is currently open to full time and part time work.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport customer vehicles within the service lot and between locations, ensuring proper handling and safety.
Confirm customer concerns when picking vehicles up for service and confirm work performed when returning
Provide timely shuttle services for customers to and from the service center.
Assist with vehicle check-ins, including inspecting for damage and documenting vehicle condition.
Follow A&B Import Auto phone etiquette and communicate energetically and positively with customers at all times.
Perform basic vehicle cleaning tasks, such as exterior washing and light interior cleaning (e.g., vacuuming).
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, parking lot, and shop as directed by the service team.
Assist service advisors and technicians with moving vehicles into bays and returning them to the lot post-service.
Run errands as needed (e.g., picking up parts, delivering documents).
Ensure loaner vehicles are cleaned, fueled, and ready for customer use. Follow company safety standards and assist with minor shop maintenance tasks.

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Professional & clean appearance
Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Prior experience in an automotive environment is a plus, but not required.

Successful candidates will:

Always be punctual & reliable
Fill downtime with tasks that help the shop
Making sure company time is used efficiently and as directed by service advisors
Follow task lists when not otherwise busy to avoid putting strain on front desk staff to find things to do
