Collision Appraiser
We are seeking an Appraiser to inspect, photograph and appraise damage to vehicles and other property damaged in an automobile accident or loss
Job Description
- Analyze damage
- Examine the vehicle for any type of damage to the body, structure, mechanicals, electrical, or interior
- Estimate repairs
- Use both repair manuals and your education/knowledge to estimate parts and labor costs
- Review
- Work with team to agree on repair costs and final review of the damage
- Prepare forms
- Create insurance forms including the details of the repair cost estimates and additional recommendations
- Communicate
- Work with colleagues, fellow technicians, customers, and vendors to ensure an efficient experience while keeping the communication open
Environmental & Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may incidentally be required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds
- A current valid drivers license and insurability rating is required
- This position may require up to 10% travel

- 3-5 years of experience in handling auto physical damage appraisals
- Collision Center experience and/or familiarity with the field adjusters/insurance industries
- CCC Pathways and/or other electronic appraisal formats required
- I-CAR certification preferred, but not required
- Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Bi-lingual preferred, but not required
- High Energy, busy shop
- Excellent customer service skills and communication skills are required
