A Mohawk Chevrolet Prep/Spray technician will prepare surfaces for installation, apply bed-liner and undercoatings. Identify potential problems before installation, remove fixed and movable body trim from vehicles, and ensure vehicles pass a safety and quality inspection prior to customer use.

What will you be Responsible for?

Prep and apply spray in bed liners/Undercoating to vehicles, following proper procedures.
Prep and spray OEM/aftermarket parts
Remove and reinstall a variety of truck accessories, including plastic bed liners, toolboxes, bed covers, running boards, grill guard, etc.
Service and maintenance of shop equipment.
Utilize PPE as well as protective supplies as appropriate to ensure cleanliness of vehicle.
Operate lifting and moving devices to move materials and equipment and access areas.
Responsible for cleaning, sanding, and applying chemical solutions to prepare and condition surfaces prior to liner application.
Mask and cover surfaces not to be resurfaced, removing accessories such as chrome, top caps and handles etc.
Mix and tinting of liner or other coating to specified color and consistency according to standard formulas or color charts.
Spray specified amount or thickness of liner onto prepared surfaces.

Position Requirements:

Prior experience with vehicle accessories and installation

Able to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles.

Paint and body shop experience is useful.
Ability to think critically and find solutions.
Capable of standing, lifting, and handling equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
