WSH Management is currently recruiting for Maintenance Technician / Porter at our 60-unit senior apartment community in Hayward , near A Street and Mission Boulevard.
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician daily responsibilities consist of running work orders, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs as well as exterior maintenance.
Also responsible for keeping the appearance of the property in excellent condition, to include the upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings.
The ideal candidate can perform a variety of tasks simultaneously, while also delivering a high level of customer service.
There are no typical days, as change is a constant.
Position Details
- Clean all common areas, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, laundry centers, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, baseboards and other work areas.
- Ensure that all trash bins are moved outside for pickup and promptly returned to storage room (twice a week).
- Light maintenance (unclog toilet, change bulbs, etc.).
- Preparation of vacant apartments for move-in by new residents and completing resident requests for service as directed by Resident Manager.

Requirements
- One year (1) facilities / apartment community / maintenance / construction field / handyman.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License, reliable transportation and current auto insurance coverage as this position may require some driving for company business.
- Basic computer skills; experience with navigating internet browser, email and calendar.
- Possess proficiency of the English language, including the ability to understand and communicate effectively with other employees, customers and vendors who only speak English as necessary to perform essential job duties.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Candidate will be required to pass a background and drug screening (A conviction will not necessarily disqualify you from employment with WSH Management).
