As a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator, your job duties will include:
- Oversees all company owned commercial vehicles, drivers, and related assets, including their operations, conditions, external and internal policy compliance, and overall performance
- Register, obtain licenses, and insure the company’s vehicles
- Maintain all vehicle information and inspection records
- Report fleet performance and finances to upper management
- Schedule vehicle maintenance when necessary
- Ensuring that vehicles are checked regularly & Quickly repaired if required
- Verify that the graphics are consistent across all vehicles & Scheduling efficient install times
- Manage facilities to ensure a clean and safe work environment
- Promote and educate technicians to have consistent maintenance practices across all terminals.
- Ensure the company receives national account parts pricing when warranted
- This position would include all rolling stock. Excluding trailers
- Develop consistent oil change levels, transmission and rear end intervals, tune-ups, and radiator cleaning
- Display teamwork with VFT management
- Challenge leadership to find cost efficiencies
- Manage quality control when receiving new equipment
- Implement maintenance software to include parts ordering, inventory levels, monitor and predict 90-day inspections and all maintenance
- Specking new vehicles
- Rental car experience is required
- Interact with drivers to be sure their equipment is operating satisfactorily.
- Work closely with the Controller in assisting with vendor issues.
- With a maintenance software system, monitor the costs of all equipment are monitored, and costly vehicle components are identified. (i.e.-is the choice of a component expensive and causing frequent failures, towing costs, loss of use of the equipment)
- Aid in recruiting technicians when necessary
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Class C license
- Fleet experience required
- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office
- Journeyman Level mechanic
- Rental car experience is required
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
