Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mechanic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support mechanics in performing maintenance and repairs on various vehicles and equipment. This role is essential for ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely. The Mechanic Assistant will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment while learning valuable skills in automotive repair.
Duties
- Assist mechanics with routine maintenance tasks.
- Use tools and equipment such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and ohmmeters to perform repairs and diagnostics.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with using an ohmmeter is highly desirable.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from senior mechanics.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects when necessary.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
