Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and resolve various mechanical issues. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools, electrical systems, and experience with shocks, struts, and air brake systems. The Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and performance of vehicles.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair or replace defective parts such as shocks, struts, and air brake components.
- Utilize hand tools and welding equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed on vehicles.
- Conduct safety inspections on vehicles to ensure compliance with regulations. must have NYS Inspectors License or willing to get one.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
- Must have your own tools and toolbox
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within an automotive dealership or repair shop.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including electrical systems and air brakes.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding techniques.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to mechanics are a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with vehicle repair.

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
