Iverson Auto of Mitchell is seeking a full-time Auto Service Technician to join our busy service department. If you have skills in basic maintenance, diagnosing and repairing of mechanical and electrical systems in automotives and/or light duty trucks, troubleshooting, problem-solving, time management, and customer service, we want to meet you!
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical problems in vehicles using manual and computerized diagnostic methods.
- Test parts and systems to ensure proper function.
- Adjust and reline brakes, align wheels, front ends, and suspension systems.
- Service vehicles in a timely manner in accordance with manufacturer and dealership recommendations.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed of completed service work of if additional service may be necessary.
- Document all work performed clearly and accurately.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior automotive maintenance, diagnosing, and repair experience.
- Knowledge of automotive technology and related tools and equipment.
- Diesel engine knowledge is a plus.
- Positive attitude and take pride in high-quality work.
- Dependable with excellent attendance record.
- Excellent time management and attention and attention to detail.
- Prefer a graduate of a two-year associate degree in auto mechanics or light diesel truck mechanics from a college or technical school or 2-3 years of related work experience.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Must have own tools.
- Must have physical strength to routinely lift heavy engine parts and tools.
