Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled B-Level Auto/Tire Tech to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks on vehicles, demonstrating a solid understanding of tires and automotive systems. You will work on a range of vehicle types, diagnosing issues, and ensuring vehicles are in top condition for safe and reliable operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Alignment: Has 2 plus years as an alignmnet tech
- Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
- Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, such as basic engine problems, suspension and front end issues and brake system.
- Inspections: Conduct digital vehicle inspections to identify worn or damaged components and recommend necessary repairs or replacements as needed.
- Diagnostics: Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues with engine performance, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
- Parts Replacement: Replace or repair defective parts, including belts, hoses, batteries, and exhaust systems.
- Customer Communication: Communicate clearly with customers to explain the nature of repairs, provide estimates, and address any concerns or questions.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and any diagnostic findings.
- Tool Maintenance: Ensure that tools and equipment are well-maintained and in good working order.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Follow all safety protocols and keep the work area clean and organized.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in automotive repair is preferred.
- Proven experience as an auto mechanic (typically 3-5 years).
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in vehicles.
- Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Monthly and Yearly Bonus Opportunities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
