Paint vehicle bodies in accordance with factory, dealership quality specifications and time standards. Perform skilled work in preparing metal and other surfaces on automotive equipment for painting and in applying lacquers, primers, synthetic enamels, polyurethane, and epoxy with spray guns and other auto painting equipment to automotive and construction equipment; and does related work. This position reports to a line supervisor and the plant manager.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Operates and uses all body shop equipment properly and safely.
- Mask and protects parts that are not to be painted or coated.
- Mixes paint according to specifications.
- Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color.
- Paints surface using sprayer or brush as appropriate.
- Inspect painted units for quality of workmanship, nothing any runs, sags, and unpainted area.
- Heats and sprays wax onto products after they are tested.
- Maintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in a proper state of repair.
- Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
- Keeps work area clean.
- Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.
- Cooperates and assist other personnel in the repair and prepping vehicles.
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.

Salary & Compensation:
The Paint and Auto Body Technician position is a full-time hourly position with approximate pay dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Job Requirements
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Prior automotive painting and finishing experience.
- Experience with blue print/schematic reading.
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools, automobile mechanics and electrical systems.
- Ability to individually lift 50-100 pounds.
- Physical ability to work full day lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling in a non-environmentally controlled work environment in a loud work environment.
- Ability to judge distances and read signs.
- This position requires the use of a respirator during job performance for extended periods of time. Applicant must be able to successfully pass physical and FIT testing for respirator usage.
Skill Requirements:
