Hiring Traveling Generator Mechanics
Seeking a highly skilled Traveling Mechanic to conduct regular maintenance, inspection, and assembly of industrial equipment.
This position is going to be at least a 12 month contract.
Pay : $35.00hr - $40.00hr (based on experience) + per diem
Locations : Floresville, TX, Roosevelt, UT, or Midland, TX
Shift : 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 7 : 00AM-6 : 00PM
Qualifications :
- Mechanical experience
- Experience with diesel engines, generators, or compressors
- Troubleshooting and diagnostics experience
- Electrical diagnostics experience
- Computer literacy for record-keeping
Job Description :
- The role involves assembling mechanical components, overseeing diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems, and actively designing maintenance plans for upgrades and replacements.
- The successful candidate will maintain detailed work logs, records of repairs and maintenance, and manage inventory including ordering new parts.
- Additionally, the mechanic will perform assessments of equipment and machinery to proactively identify and inform clients of potential issues.
- Adherence to safety policies, standards, and procedures is mandatory, with an expectation to report incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.
Work Site :
- Shop and Field positions available
- Candidates traveling from out of state will receive per diem on top of an hourly wage ($166 - $247 for per diem depending on state / location)
Work Environment :
- Work includes a typical 70-hour period over 8 days when crossing state lines or driving
- Shop hours from 7 am to 6 pm.
- Field technicians are on call 24 / 7
- Overtime is expected, with a maximum of 6 - 12 hour shifts
