**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled and experienced medium duty delivery van Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of vehicles to ensure safely and functionality . This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of automotive and fleet truck systems and the ability to work independently. We need someone who can work on sundays and few evenings a week to take care for oil changes ,tire changes, brake pad replacement , light duty mirror and lighting repair and other DOT related repairs, for our fleet of medium duty delivery vans 11-22,000 gvw weight range . Most tools and parts on site and air compressor access available
**Responsibilities:**
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues
- Diagnose and repair mechanical problems with vehicles
- Utilize hand tools and air tools to perform repairs
- Assemble and install new parts and components
- Work on a variety of step vans ,box truck and sprinter type vans
- Keep records of work performed and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with management and fellow team members
- Meet deadlines and work efficiently to minimize downtime
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and best practices
**Experience:**
- Proven experience as a service technician or automotive and or truck repair technician
- Familiarity with some lifting of 10 lug wheel tire combos,
and safe tire changes when needed
- Knowledge of cooling and brake systems
- Experience with hand tools, safety , and mechanical equipment
- Strong customer service skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Experience working with a variety of automotive systems, including brakes, electrical, cooling , and suspension systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education, and or experience in larger delivery truck and fleet repair or a related maintenance and repair experiences are preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
