As a Certified Toyota Technician, you will be a vital team member responsible for performing automotive diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and vehicle maintenance. Your core skills in automotive repair, powertrain systems, and alignment will be essential in ensuring the efficient operation of Toyota vehicles. With premium skills in dealership experience and ADAS, you will excel in handling complex repairs and advanced automotive technologies. Your relevant skills in automotive repair will further enhance your ability to provide top-notch service to customers. Certified ASE tech with dealership experience is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership.
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs.
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure that common courtesy is shown toward all customers you come into contact with
- While in the vicinity of the Service Drive, act as a secondary customer greeter to customers that have not yet been acknowledged
- Address all original customer concerns before moving onto additional sales
- Inspect every vehicle for additional sales opportunities ensuring that the vehicle is being maintained to the local area and factory recommendation
- Ensure the customers vehicle is returned as clean, or cleaner than when it arrived
- Participate in any Factory, or in-house sponsored training programs offered to you
- Complete all paperwork completely and correctly, then ensure all required shop forms are attached to the RO hard copy
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Service Manage or Assistant Service Manager.
- Always come to work on time, ready to work, and in a clean uniform
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience as an automotive technician, ASE Certification
- Obtain and maintain Toyota technician certification and any ASE’s and/or smog licenses as required for your skill level
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
- Teammate with the ability to collaborate with others effectively
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $38.00 per hour
