The Service Lane Assistant at Renn Kirby Auto Group plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and smooth operations in the service department. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers upon arrival in the service lane, direct them to the appropriate service advisor, and assist with any initial inquiries or concerns.
- Assist service advisors in managing customer vehicles, including documenting vehicle condition and mileage, and coordinating loaner vehicles if necessary.
- Communicate with the service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
- Update customers on the status of their vehicles and provide accurate estimates for repair costs and completion times.
- Coordinate with parts department to ensure availability of necessary parts and accessories.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service lane area.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a customer service role is preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with automotive service software.
- Valid driver's license.
