Position Overview :
The Main Line Service Advisor position interacts with customers to evaluate vehicle service needs, offer additional needed services, and write up the repair order.
The Service Advisor's position is responsible for a high level of customer interaction and coordinating repair order completion with the service technicians and parts department.

- You have 2+ years experience as a Service Advisor in a dealership.
- You are passionate about the customer experience that results in increased customer retention.
- You have the proven ability to set and achieve targeted goals by meeting or exceeding productivity and service standards.
- You have exceptional communication, organization, and follow-up skills that result in an exceptional customer experience.
- You maintain a positive attitude with customers, peers, and management when under pressure.
- You thrive on educating customers on proper care for their vehicle.
Essential Functions :
- Greet customers in a timely and friendly manner and develop customer loyalty.
- Communicate with service customers to determine the nature of the mechanical problems.
- Communicate frequently with technicians and parts department to ensure timely completion of work.
- Secure agreement from customers before repairs are completed, covering cost estimates and approximate time when vehicle’s work will be completed while obtaining customer and vehicle information.
- Contact customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promise time, explaining cost and time requirements in detail and getting proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
- Follow up on the progress of each repair order during the day, contacting customers regarding changes in the time frame of the completion of vehicle repair.
- Handle telephone inquiries regarding work in process and appointments and return phone messages promptly.
- Interpret warranty information and policies for customers.
- Advise customers of parts ordered and make an appointment to have them installed before the customer leaves.
- Assist the service manager as necessary and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Requirements :
- 2+ years of Service Advisor experience in a dealership.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid in-state driver’s license and have an acceptable, safe driving record.
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
