Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair semi-trucks and trailers
Perform routine vehicle maintenance
Maintain records in an organized manner
Communicate daily repairs with Shop Manager & Secretary through work order forms.
DOT inspections – power train and air brakes.
Record repairs, parts, and hours on work order.
Communicate with Shop Foreman & Secretary on repair status.

Qualifications:

Pre-employment drug screen
2 years of diesel repair experience preferred
Physically able to lift and work with no restrictions
Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Ability to work, days or nights
Ability to work weekends and holidays
Active Driver License Class A CDL Preferred

Desired skills:

Basic welding
Basic computer/technology skills
Able to work as a member of the shop team
Have own tools

Experience:

Diesel Engine, Truck & Heavy Equipment Mechanics: 2 years (Preferred)
Diesel engine repair: 2 years (Preferred)
Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Preferred)
